While I applaud those who try something different, I think posting pictures of boxes is about as exciting as dirt. Looking at the box a model came from is about the same as looking at the box your computer came in, and about as useful. Looking at pictures of airliners on the net is fascinating, at pictures of models is great, but boxes are too far removed from the hobby...you need to find ModelBoxes.com and post there.

Wait a minute! Some collectors do really collect them models and never take them out of the box. I call it collecting boxes.

lol, i heard of those people who collects planes in the box... why??? because they have crapload of planes that they have no places to display??? shame! donate them to me! lol.

All my planes are being displayed in dust-free (dust-reducing?) cabinet. except duplicates, Singapore Tropical (sistership really) and Boeing B747-8IC.

i think, i may soon be running out of space! scary! that's why i tried(?) to stop buying models! noticeably,

Herpa Austrian A340 Wiener Philharmonik,
Herpa
United B721 friend ship,
Hogan Air France A773,
Hogan US Airways B752
winglet.

but i think i will be buying Austrian and United within next few days... addiction... not nice... i heard that new United B721 friend ship got chrome stand? is that true? damn! drooooooool!

a few of these models are just TOO HUGE!!!

True, lack of space is definitely one factor. Other buy models as an investment so that they can sell them off at higher price later on. Sorry, if you had told me earlier, I wold have sent you the 20 models that I just donated to some kids 2 days ago.

I don't think there's such thing as a dust-free cabinet. When you open the cabinet to place your models in there, dust particles are already in there.

The OS A343 "Wiener Philharmoniker" model is a good choice. Sorry, can't help you out on the UA B721 stand as I don't collect metal diecast in 1:200.

hehe yea, i dont count my planes (even if they are worth some kind of money) as an investment. IRAs, 401Ks...yea those are the real investments.

Nah, nothing to do with stocks for me. I'll go with precious metals - that's my retirement there!

Nah, those metal diecast models are made of zinc alloy. Precious metals as in platinum and gold.

Yeah, that's why i have my Pan Am and Singapore Tropical and B747-8IC. I do not think you will be able to sell more than few bucks more (upto $20 more?), but hey, it may help get some funds for new models, hehe. it's like, high resale price for used car? errrrrrrr.
WHAT?!? r u serious? u donated models to kids? wow, nice guy u r! 1/200 scales?

exactly, i agree that there's no such thing, "dust-free cabinet" more like, dust-reducing cabinet, lol. unless u r in outerspace or vacuum condition, it's unlikely. i don't know why, my home is very dusty! must be these carpet!!! that's why i try to keep my models in that cabinet.

u don't collect any diecast metal in 1/200? really? any reason for it my friend? i am sure u didn't have to go that route since a lot of good lookin plastic models are available to begin with.
