Angry Problem with a seller...

Hi everybody, I would like to know if someone of you had some experience with a seller called CHUNG LING from HK.
He is also known as CX777300 or UMLshop on ebay.
I placed an order for 4 planes in November , I sent him the money the 10 of November and according with what he wrote me he shipped the package the 24 of the same month.
Until today I didn't receive any package. I asked him the tracking number and the package , according with the italian posts has never arrived in Italy.
I asked to italian customs and to HK post.
The only thing to do to find this package is a request from the sender. I sent a request to Mr. Ling but without any answer...
I'm still waiting for an answer from him.
Did someone have a similar experience with him? What could I do in this case? Any suggestion would be appreciated...

Lollo,

Sorry to hear about the problems you are having with the transaction. I have bought from him before and some parts were missing. I e-mailed him about the missing parts and he sent them to me.

Also, if you noticed, shipping insurance is always included in the S&H cost for all his auctions. So, your package of 4 models was insured. You may ask him to file for reimbursement from HK Post since it is safe to assume that the package is lost.

I don't think you may be able to file with paypal because it has been 4 months and I am not sure if you can do anything about it even if you paid via paypal. You may also try to contact ebay. Please keep us updated and good luck!

Hi Lollo

Sorry to hear of the problem but it may well be that the parcel is sitting in what is called a "dead letter office" somewhere in the postal network in Italy. In the old days parcels would be returned to sender if they couldn't be delivered - now unless you have given specific instructions to get the parcel returned and AGREE to pay return postage nothing is done and it just sits there. This seems to be happening a lot in Italy and packets don't get through. Unless insurance is part of the purchase price everybody loses. As this parcel WAS insured UML can claim and get a refund from the HKG Post Office - but it can take a few months!

Hi Hugo, I know what you're talking about, unfortunately this things could happen, the strange thing is that the seller didn't answer me until today, maybe it's in a "dead letter office" but I can't know it. As the HK post office answered me now the ball is in the sender hands, I've done all was in my possibilities to find the parcel but without success; it's time for a sender cooperation I think.
For the moment I'm the loser, and few months - at this time - are not so much for me. Did you have some more problems with the italian post service until our last one? Sincerly from the "CP case " I didn't have new problems, maybe some really slow delivery but all the packages I was waiting for, finally arrived.
I'll keep you informed about this story, ciao!

Yes have had one more parcel go missing - no as critical as the CP but the buyer did wait about 4 months to tell me - I would suggest if something doesn't arrive with three weeks maximum the post office should be approached - if it has been sitting around for a couple of months it is likely to have been destroyed or "liberated"

Best wishes

Hugo

Hi Lollo
sorry to hear about your dilemma. I have bought models from this seller and found I had no problems with him. I found him to be really fast and effecient with his shipping, package usually arriving at my door within a week or so of purchase.
I can't really suggest any other way of resolving your situatuion with this seller without repeating what every one else has said, so good luck and make sure you let us know how this problem was resolved.

Talking Happy end!

I'm really happy to inform you that I finally received the package from Mr.Chung Ling , it arrived safe after "only" 4 months.
Shipping and customs delays are something I hate... but this time I'm happy because now the planes are in my hands when my hopes were gone.

Was it stuck in Customs for 4 months? Is it postmarked Nov 24th? WOW.

I once had a package go from the US to Australia to France and it didn't take that long.

You got your models - that is all that counts!
