Default Site been slow?

Some users are report issues in connecting to W9 and DAC. Saying the pages are taking forever to load. Is anyone here experiencing this issue?

I'm thinking it is a routing issue as everything is working 100% on the server for most people.

Lately I have slight delay, but more annoying is when the page doesn,t open at all, I have to go off line and then back on and it will come up, refresh doesn't do it.

At 9:06PM (Eastern Standard Time) on 01/13/2006, I was on DAC and tried to click onto another thread and the system set until a "time out" message was received. I tried other threads with the same results for about 10 minutes. The system then returned to normal, prompt response.

I am using a cable modem with 3 meg download speed.

I hope the information helps.

FYI some details, it is not our server:

At approximately 12:31pm CST, the Information Security department became aware of latency and packet loss at the DLLSTX2, DLLSTX4, and DLLSTX5 data centers. Upon investigation, it was determined that the network intrusion prevention system had malfunctioned. Engineers attempted to repair the system but were unsuccessful. The Information Security and Networking departments were forced to bypass the network intrusion prevention system. At approximately 2:33pm CST, normal traffic patterns were restored to DLLSTX4 and DLLSTX5 data centers. At approximately 2:39pm CST, normal traffic patterns were restored to DLLSTX2.

Upon further investigation by the vendor, it has been determined that there is an issue with the network intrusion prevention system software. The vendor is working to develop a patch.

Future Mitigation:
Apply the patch as soon as it is tested and approved by the vendor.

Ok i made some template changes to the site, tell me if you see a difference. Basically we had some embedded HTML tables that I think were causing IE to be slow in rendering pages. I think you should see a big difference now.
