First of all and most important to me, you'll get to know and you'll have the opportunity to work with great people. Further, I always thought that as a collector it's great to contribute to the hobby. Being a team member means that you'll gain an insight into the whole hobby. You'll get first-hand information, you might be able to get in touch with manufacturers etc. And as Todd already mentioned, W900 provides all the team members with a certain amount of models for free, which is great. From time to time, retailers have special offers for team members, too. So, to me, there are many advantages for the "at will" volunteers.
