Red face diecast,model kit which is better

die cast models are already created for you has model kits have to be done nicely otherwise waste of money.which one do you prefer improving skills or just buyin and keepin in the showcase?????

I improve my skills by building stuff in our model railroad club.

One of the diecast advantages imho is that they are smaller. You can display more of them in your showcase (I´m thinking 1/144 scale civilian airliner model kits here).

Ever since a very close friend got seizures from inhaling the paint and thinner fumes while building plastic models , I don´t do any more of that@ home.
