Smile Help for protecting model decals/transfers

Hi everyone i have just completed the large scale B1 lancer by revell and i was going to hang it from the ceiling for safety but i am worried about the decals peeling off in time,
so is there any good way of protecting them from drying out and peeling as this model will be up in the air for many years i hope !.

cheers
kevin

giving them a few coats of "future floor wax" should help.

I'd suggest eithe Testor's flat cote or Tamiya flat clear, depending on the brand of paint. If you used Hubrol or Revell paint, use the equivilent.
Do you have airbrush?

Hi Kevin,

If you choose to use the dullcoat, remember to mask off any clear parts (windscreen, lamding lights, etc) as they will "frost".... also, be sure the type clear coat is the same as the paint, in other words, don't clear coat with enamel or laquer if the paint is ackrylic, or it will break your heart!

Good luck!
Frank
