A Beautiful "Custom", Chris!!...You Should Send A Pic to BA!!

North American, the El Al subsidary based out of JFK has a similar "tail logo", but Old Glory looks GREAT on the BA!!

I don't have any of the BA world tails as I'm not thrilled with the new livery, (I miss the Landor). But I'd be all over this one just as it is.
It wouldn't suprise me if BA already had something like this in the works, Brits have a lot of class.

I can see this sort of livery as a possibility (but I wouldn't expect BA to put the word `God' into play).

Great Idea Chris. Here is my idea, Gemini releases one comemmorative model for the events. Like a BA 747-400 with the USA tail. I bought the DW North American 737-800 because I feel my collection now needs to display the American Flag.

Nice one Chris, as a Brit i'm impressed and I support this. Although I have to say that i've NEVER seen a Union Jack on an American aircraft... At least there was BA's "Waves of the City."
Just a thought, i'd appreciate it if I don't get about 40 fuming responses.

God Bless,

Default Good point Niels...

Is there? Well then, I retract my statement!
Although can anyone think of airline examples?

Default There's always a first time.

First of all, the model was just a way for me to express my feelings. And, if British Airways hadn't done the World Tails I probably wouldn't have thought of it. I really like what British Airways did and feel they should have never discontinued it.

I don't think any airline has gone as far as I'm suggesting, although what we witnessed this past week was unprecedented too. I do believe that several U.S. airlines have named aircraft after cities served around the world. I'll look for some examples.

Unhappy 757 BA US!

This I created two years ago I was going to mail it to British Airways. I would have to change the flag on the starboard side of the plane. I will post this here due to the content of the thread. Anyone who has an elps printer or just may want to do this design on a 1/400th scale I will release an eps file for this for a BA tail design. I will scale up the art work unchanged from what you see. I will do this when I can. If not I can do this in a PDF file. This is a BMP representation of low res quality I will contact Gordon to see if in some way I can get a high res PDF or EPS file attached. For PDF you will need a reader program like ACROBAT. In PDF I would be worried about the size getting beyond a 1/400 th scale size I will make.
