I'm impressed with your landing gear fitting. Nice~ What's happening in your Boeing 2707-300 department in 1/100 scale?

Yes...will email you. Looking for a Braniff Flying Colors Boeing SST in 1/72 or 1/100 with gear. I have schematics of the gear and fuselage. Can you do area ruled fuselages? The 2707-300 has very unique contours throughout.

Wondering.....how stable is wood? I fear of warping after time, unlike fiberglass/resin.

Thanks.

Very stable provided they are not exposed to the elements and I dont think any of us will be keeping our models in the rain...
That would go for our diecast models too...
You see when they are painted they are sprayed with a base coat which acts like a resin shield, these model will last forever!
I have many wooden models one that I have had for 10 years and its still the way I got it!

I watched a program about america/boeings 2707 competition to concorde, one of the main problems was the 2707 was to be made faster then concorde at mach 3 and apparently mach 3 is hard to achieve because thats when more problem factors come in to it, mach 2 mach 2.5 would have been much more acheivable

I would be very interested in 1/200 ERJ's, CRJ's, Convair 580's.

You do very nice work but I doubt you could get the accuracy and detail in 1/200 by carving these out of wood.

We can do them but I dont reccommend 1/200 scale for smaller aircraft...
They dont come out as good as the larger aircraft.
below is an example of a 1/200 scale CV-440 that we done...

Again as this question always comes up. How accurate are these models and how do they stack up compared to the heavy hitters as in the Conquest, Pacmin's, Space, Westway's? With the wood models can you get the detail out as good as a mould? How about the detail in the wings, in the resin the flaps are cut right in to the wings as the grooves in the flaps are nice and clean. On the wood models are they cut in or just painted in? Are you able to do proto type models such as a 747-8IC in a Cathay Pacific 1/100 with gears down?

Its hard to compare them as I believe they are different, its just like comparing diecast with plastic they just arent the same and both have positives and negatives.
All I can say is our models are really well made and incorporate good detail and you can get them at a fraction of the price.
We can definetly make your 747-8IC in a Cathay Pacific 1/100 with gear down just email us: info@sydneyaviationshop.com

As mentioned before 1/144 scale and up for smaller aircraft is the go!
For models with gear down 1/100 is recommended.
