Default Westjet 737-200

The Westjet 732 is complete. This is a former GJ Air Florida model. Brief summary, the wings & tail surfaces were removed, the body and vertical stab thrown into some stripper, repainted white, and the new decals were added. The windows were made on a photocopier using plain decal film, the logos were tricky tho and I resorted to an outside source (The Decal Connection). The only problems with the model are the Westjet logo on the fuselage, these titles are "blocky" because of the pixel resolution but it is not noticeable unless you look for it, also the tail logo is a bit off from the original (dart shape is a bit wide on the vertical white band) but it looks very close. The model resides happily in my collection and was worth the effort.

Very nice Sarge. We can only hope that GJ or DW will start making some of these for real.

Thanx alot guys, the reason it was made was in order to "complete" my main collection of North American airliners from the Y2K era. I do have more pix but the (borrowed) camera was not in a good mood today and these are the best of the lot, if you want to see the rest I can send them by e-mail.

Default WOW!

Outstanding...lots of work, but the results are incredible. Did you use an Alps printer?

Default Leftover Decals

Alright I'll quit answering my own post shortly, but forgot to mention there are a few leftover decals for this bird, if anyone interested you can have 'em as they aren't required anymore. Also I may consider doing a model for anyone in total desperation, provided that a 732 is provided as part of the deal (famous last words). Don't have a lot of time for modeling these days so it would have to be on a very relaxed timescale.

Goose,

Awesome work!!! I'm jealous of your abilities.

I have a hard time bashing BA Utopes, with Draw decals. They say the eyes are the first thing to go, and "they" were correct!

Y'all are too kind. Now you've got me thinking of gobbling up a bunch of Gemini 732's to revamp. In addition to the classics (CP Air, First Air, Air Canada North) there is always Canadi>n, Canjet and Royal. BTW Niels did an awesome Nordair 732 awhile ago, don't know if it is still posted somewhere . . .

I really want to buy this one. There are a lot interesting 737-200s around the world such as Canadi>n, Alaska's 200C, NWT Air's 200C, Southwest, ......etc. Quite a big market, eh? By the way, if GJ's doing a 737-200 of the ruler of Sharjah, do they need to get a license to make it? How about a USAF CT-43?

Remining photos posted, soory for poor quality they do not do the original justice. Green appears way to light and marking details are a lot sharper than appears here. Does give other views of the model though.
