Default Brad Shinn Continental 737-800

Here are some pics of a 1/144 Revell B-737-800 that I am building in Continental livery. The wings are flexed and the gear will not be compressed for that short final profile look. Still have a lot more to go with this build. I would like to sell her here for $300 plus the overnight express charges. Send a pm if your interested.

Thanks,
Brad

As the proud owner of two of Brad's builds, I can definitely vouch for him and his work; he's great to do business with and his models are truly masterpieces!

Here are some shots of my two beauties from Brad. (Hope you don't mind me posting these here, Brad!)

1/144 DACO 737-500

1/200 Hasegawa 777-200

No one's better at flaps and weathering than Brad! So detailed and realistic. The only downfall about these models is that they make me want to throw away all my factory made plastic and die-cast models, haha.

Brad, you know I'd buy your 738 that's in progress in a heartbeat if I had the extra cash right now! And you're doing it in CO colors to entice me even more, ehh? Can't wait to see this one finished!

Thanks Mike......I miss those builds a lot. You get attached to them after spending time building them late nights.

Nice pics thanks

Great work so far Brad A+

Brad, I've got a question, what and how did you weather on that 777?

Thanks Bill-ay,

Mostly I used "Tamiya wetherene masters". It's like a powder/make-up that you apply with a sponge like tool. Then you use a dry brush to mix/fade in the efffect. I also use pencil lead sometimes for panel lines or a very thinned flat black too......Play around with pastels or a water/acrylic wash too.

I thought about using a set winglets from the Daco kit......But then everybody has them on their NG 737's builds. Something different for a change.

Brad, while your work is 100% stunning, and your weathering makes these little gems look 100% real, I have yet to see you incorporate one of the most obvious and common "real-world" weathering staining effects: the jetway "contact/rub" mark. I have never seen a well used airliner without one!

Brad, your work is nothing short of sensational, having followed your work over on Airliner Cafe I have to say, each one is a masterpiece.

Yes...Lots of landings by Mike I'm sure!!!

Yea, I always wanted to try the Jet Way stains and those door jams/windows/waste gate and try some paint chipping on the vert. stabs and around the cockpit too.

It's really up to the customers taste in the build.
