I've actually got a 1:144 American A300-600 in the works right now. It uses the Airfix mold with a fuselage plug, as well as parts from a Revell Beluga (wings, wing/fuselage joint, engines, etc.). I had to reshape the nose a little bit, and I'm still debating over what to do with the empennage (Airfix's isn't exactly the most accurate). Should be a sweet looking bird when it's finished!

I am building an A300 in China Airlines color, however last week the model fell from my disk....so everything is stopped now.
BTW, if you are getting the A300 kit in 1/200, the model of new JAL color is actually not a -600 as it mentioned, it's still a A300B4 fuselage but with -600 wingtips. |

I have an old unassembled Hasegawa TG A300 kit and got a set of Indian Airlines decals alongwith the A300 doors/windows sheet, so I'm going to do mine IC. Nothing too complicated and a simple livery.

If you're going 1/200 - Hasegawa - you'll be limited to pre-1978 airframes if you're going by correct CF6-50 engine moulds. Hase only ever did these early style cowlings and pylons as far as I'm aware.
Or is there anyone who's got later pylons/engine cowlings in their Hase kit boxes? All US carriers operated aircraft with the later cowlings and a different pylon (what I use to call post-78). Not sure if these are available on the aftermarket. Though you could at least modifiy the cowling to the later style without that much effort. The only US airframes to go straight on an unmodified Hase mould are those very early delivery (incl. lease and demonstrator) A300B4 for Eastern. I'd suggest doing Bavaria-Germanair A300B4 though ![]() Regarding the Hase A300B4-600... Does Hase really have a -600 mould with correct wings, engines and fuselage? Just curious as I've never held one in hands. |

So I think it's a no-go, unless you want quite some sanding action. The 600's aft fuselage and tailplanes would be the biggest thing, as they don't have much in common with a B2/B4. |

Braz models has a nice 1/200 -600 full resin kit, but they are quite tricky to find. They have engine options for all the differnt versions of the -600.
