Hey guys,
I've been working on this kit since Christmas (lovely present I got from the wife eh??). I finally finished it today, complete with a sort of diorama base to display the bird. Thanks to Bill-ay for putting me in touch with Mark Borer, who printed up the decals for me (much better than the ones that came with the kit), and thanks to Mark for printing these decals, along with a number of others for future builds. Also want to say thanks to Densil at Welsh Models for sending me a replacement nose gear after I bungled the first one! For the ground equipment, I used a Hasegawa 1/72 scale kit (ok, it was a military kit, but don't tell!). For the cones, I just performed a slight operation on 2 1/72 scale amraam's. The chocks were made from scrap plastic. Anyways, enough with the yakkety yak, here are the pics! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope you enjoyed the pics! |

Thanks for all the positive comments guys...its a good way to keep me motivated!
Next on the block is a 738 that I am atempting to drop flaps on (though I must admit, I am thinking heavily about using the kit from Contrails). I'm also concurrently working on a 1/100 767 that I finally got my hands on, that one will be in Delta 75th anny colors. Thanks agaiN! |

As accurate and detailed Welsh models are, I'm not touching them with a 10 foot pole. Just about finished the assembly on my 747SP but haven't found the time to complete it.
