Just completed a couple of GJ B777s in BA Utopia world tails and invite you to see how the design can differ even in the same fleet!
G-RAES and G-VIIU with the Delftblue Daybreak theme of the Netherlands for your comments - ![]() Last edited by hugo; 12-10-2007 at 10:19 AM. |

Nice work.
The Netherlands World Tails always have been my favourites. Especially like the windmill.

These are special 1:400 orders so you would need to contact me direct on hugo@cwgsy.net to discuss

From what I can see she was never in Landor - though the photo you show says it is XO I can find no other at present - so basically dunno!

Great - can I ask where you got the details from? I'll add them to my list.
I have G-BDXA as City of Cardiff and G-AWNA as Peterborough - can you confirm Your goodies airborne today 13/02/08 Last edited by hugo; 02-13-2008 at 05:43 AM. |

Well as you would know the 741 before 1989 had names of vairous cities, but when the 400's came in they took the city names and the 100's got Water/lake names.
They first 400 got the following: G-BNLA - London G-BNLB - Edinburgh G-BNLC - Cardiff G-BNLD - Belfast Quite PC I guess. So XA Couldn't have been Cardiff, XO was the only one missing from my list I find I found it in this month's Wings World! It would also explain Why G-BDXH changed It's name from Edinburgh to Elgin |

have sent you a copy of my list of names which came I believe from an engineer with BA, or someone who had collated a lot of data from just before the Utopia schemes came into general use.

Thanks Mate, Didn't have many of the 400's on my list or the 100's orginal names. I find it quite funny there are two "City of Bangor".
Just a few more to come: G-AWNE Derwent Water G-AWNM Ullswater G-AWNN Lowes Water G-BBPU Virginia Water G-BDPV Blea Water Last edited by Chard; 02-13-2008 at 10:16 PM. |
