Always great to see your work being posted here! I'm stunned by the weathering, reverse-thrust deployed and flaps-down details! Keep it up!

Brad, you're at it again. Even though I do not care much for the DC-9, the quality of your work is obvious.

I was wondering why we haven't heard from you, now we can see why.

Excellent work and additional detailing on this kit.

Seems your talents are limitless.

Please keep posting your completed projects.

Outstanding as always, Brad. Like the flaps and weathering But why not slats also?

I may be mistaken, but I believe slats were not present on the DC-9-10/14/15. They are present on the DC-9-21 series and later (-30, -40, -50).

Thanks Frank for your kind reply.
Yea, CO735 is right the -10' family had no slats. The wing was changed with the start of the -20 family. Now that -20 was one Hot-Rod of an DC-9!!

Brad

Brad, I'm wondering from where you get the styrene and how do you form this material to the shape you need? I have no clue.

You should be able to buy some plastic/styrene at your hobby shop. I just study lots pics of wings for reference from airliners.net. Here is a little how to I did on how to flap a 1/144 B-737

Many thanks, that is an interesting guide! Someday I might give it a try too.

jetphotos.net is also a worthy site to sneak around for pics.

Brad, have you ever tried assembling rasin models? Here's an interesting manufacturer of DC9ers:

Hi Speedy,

Yes I have a Authentic Airliners B-727
AirlinerCafe.com--Accept No Imitations - Airliner modeling, airliner models, airliner kits, airliner decals.

Kurt at Home Page has a ERJ and soon another style RJ kit in 1/144 scale. Great stuff! Yea, Flying fish does also have some real cool looking DC-9's. Sometime soon I'll grab a couple or one to build.

Best Regards,
Brad
