Cool project you have there, k! BTW, what's with the leading egde of the tail fin, at the bottom? BTW, this will be a cool complement to the Wedgetail:

leading edge of the tailfin i had to shave off roughly to match what the wedgetail has. i will reshape it into a finer point at a later time.

check it out, it doesnt end like regular 737s do

that a330 would be a pretty easy build compared to this wedgetail with all its antenna and stuff! maybe at a later time. i still have a p-8 poseidon to do.

the reason i like using flight miniature 737s is because i think their 737 mould is great. their a330s are okay i suppose.

You may wish to check out Defence Models and Graphics here in Australia.

Defence Models and Graphics - WEDGETAIL B-737

The owner is a very skilled professional model builder (check out the rest of his site!) and may be able to steer you towards some decals.

cheers

Cool project + looking good. Just wondering why you chopped the nose section off. To add nose weight? I think I might have just drilled a large hole where the nose gear is and add ball bearings and resin and then patch up the hole with the gear well.

yea i chopped the nose off to weight it. ball bearings and resin would have cost me more money so i went with what was on hand...wire...which requires me to take the plane to the chop shop.

btw guys, model is still taking shape! not much to updated but ive been trying to get smooth fuselage joins for all parts and thats taking up alot of time

sorry guys for the lack of updates but the model is currently waiting its final coat of white primer...but problem is ive ran out of primer and wont be getting any till early novemember!!!! model is finished though. =) i even got the bumps that are located on the engine nacelles in
not really worth taking a picture of or posting since it looks pretty much give or take like the latest photos here, just whiter and smoother

ill post when i give it its gray scheme. decals...well thats still a problem. i might try my hand at customizing my own since no one is willing to help me out in exchange for some $$. who would have though huh? yea....

a white angel rolls out. i wanted to light the whole display up but i blew out that entire row of LEDs up top...looks like back to the welding shop, dang it. hangar is falling apart anyways, gotta add more supports.

big search radar antenna is the only thing left to smoothen up. but what do you guys think so far? i got that bump in on the engines done too. give me your input before this goes into final production!

after 3 months of waiting finally have some money to buy some paint and find a custom decal maker to finish this project up.

sorry for the wait guys, i hope final fit and finish will be up to your standards (hopefully it is because i have very high standards too)!

lets hope we can see it fly before the new year rolls around!!!!!
