Thanks for the link! Wow, amazing! I just think he should have brought home the ENTIRE aircraft instead of just the front half! Now, this is the real deal!

I would say he is a serious collector, probably more so than any of us here.

got this quote from the article...

Quote:
“It feels like home,” says Rick, sitting in the pilot’s seat of the fully equipped cockpit. “It’s in my will that some of my ashes will be scattered in here.”
this is freaky! lol!!! so he's gonna want to have his ashes scattered at home? nice...

Quote:
he can always fill his time with another hobby. The Broomes’ house backs up to a lakelike reservoir, and Rick has been licensed as a wildlife park caretaker for wild ducks. Every year he feeds 12,000 pounds of cracked corn to the birds.

“He likes anything that flies,” Billie says.

seriously! anything that flies, hehe.

but seriously, i hope i can one day do that too! have a front half of the plane! or what about rear half of B722? damn! that would be tall!? mmmmmmm~! enter thru the rear stairway, hehe!

That is defiantly not the first airplane in a home…I can’t find the link now but there is a guy somewhere in either Kentucky or Ohio who has built himself a fully functioning flight simulator out of a 767 cockpit. He uses Microsoft Flight Sim 2004 and a movie screen...Though it doesn’t move

That's right! The woman in California mentioned in the article has built a home from a B747. I read that article sometime last year but I couldn't find it. If I am not mistaken from the pic, one of the wings was used as the roof. Pretty cool!
