What kind of metalized paint did you use? Did you use anything like Bare-Metal foil? It looks great.

I used some Model Masters Silver and a little SNJ powder on the engine cowls. Their's no foil on this build. I feel the foil would not look as good on 1/144 scale, maybe 1/100 or bigger works well for foil.

Here's foil on a 1/100 scale DC-8.

That's a terrific-looking plane there. I like the flaps down like that, looks really cool. You should enter your planes in Fine Scale Modelers magazine, they look that good.
