Hi,
Here is a current project for a customer, a 1/144 Minicraft "Woods Air Fuel" C-54G or DC-4. I Still have a way to go to complete the beast. I scabed on a DC-6 nose section for the radar equiped nose and removed the long intakes on top of engines. She will have engines with the cowls opened and the short version intakes. This C-54G did not have de-icer boots and wing walk ways to save on weight. As always, have to wait for more decals to arrive! Great looking propliner Brad!
Inspires me to pull out the old Revell DC-7C I was converting to a Delta Golden Crown DC-7B. An upside down 737-200 radome from a 1/200 Hasegawa kit, plus a whole lotta putty gave it the perfect DC-7 nose length & cross section. I'll try to find the pics I took of it. ![]() |

Thanks David!
That's clever about the upside-down nose idea for the DC-7C. I would like to see that mod. I'm almost done with this beasty bird. Waiting for decals and have to finish props. Brad ![]()

The most difficult part of this project is paint. There are no Delta Golden Crown DC-7 decals out there. I'll either have to get them custom made, or kitbash from other sheets, and find someone who can hand-letter the gold "golden crown" titles under the cockpit windows. |
