Default EasyJet 0990

My latest 1/400 custom

Boeing 737-200 G-BECH

In 1995 EasyJet wet leased 2 Boeing 737-200s, G-BECH & BECG both based at Luton airport. Each had the telephone number livery, initially 01582 44 55 66, later changed to 0990 29 29 29. The first services where to Glasgow and Edinburgh. In 1996 Amsterdam became the first European destination. So started the cheap short haul flights in competition with Ryanair who also operated Boeing 737-200s.

Nice, I did the same one in 1/200 a while ago. Also, finished an A320 in 1/200 easyjet recently too. Do you print your own decals?

Yes I do print my own decals but dispite using the colour ratio for Pantone 021(EasyJet corporate colour) the orange never seems quite right. If its not a trade secret what ratio of red, green, blue do you use to print the easy orange.

I use Halfords VW paint, 'Brilliant Orange' for the tail/engines etc, and it looks very close. Then I usually use Drawdecals for printing, and use the CMYK breakdowns. To be fair, the orange looks a little bit washed out, but without using the actual pantone as a screen printed ink, I don't think you will get it right.

How is the quality of your printed decals? I need to get a rather large set of decals printed, but I don't think I want to buy a new printer just to do it myself. Looking at 1/36 scale 787 stuff
