Default Looking for Airbus engines!

Hi Guys,

I'm going to build a series of A320's in 1/200 based on the Hasegawa kit. The problem is the kits I have all come with the same engines (I believe CFM), and some of the planes I want to build have the other type (I think PW). So who makes engines in resin for this kit?
Other option would be to buy a bunch of A321's as they have the PW engine, but could I use some spare CFM's on the A321? or do they only fly with the PW?
Any help would be welcome

Arrow Actually the P&W are International Aero Engines.

IAE V2500's long and cylindrical like the Rolls Royce Nacelles found on the 757. IAE is made up of Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce and a Japanese company. Other ones are CFM's. Can't help you out on your dilemma, sorry.

Cool Your welcome! Strange bed fellows if you ask me P& W and RR. Get this!

Pratt & Whitney and General Electric are combining forces on the new nacelles for the A380. Airbus brings about the wierdist bed fellows. IAE V2500's also fly on the MD-90 also. Only two types of nacelles will be on the 380. Rolls Royce Trent and these new (P&W and GE)as one.

Smile Too right

Craig,

It is very odd to see engine companies working together. I wonder how well they really get along? Do you know where the IAE engines are manufactured?

Really not to sure look at these sites for further info:

Check at these sites for further info: Allison is also part of Rolls Royce. Look at the N1 stage fan on a ERJ- 135,140, or 145 you will see what I mean. http://www.allison.com/
http://www.rolls-royce.com/
Rolls Royce Germany use to be Rolls Royce-BMW http://www.rolls-royce.de/

Lightbulb Also get this!

SNECMA and GE make up the CFM family, ok. http://www.cfm56.com

Well SNECMA and Rolls Royce made the Olympus engines for the Concorde. Another odd fact!
