An interesting assembly of conversion aircraft at the Hays SkunkWorks this weekend... a couple of prototype test models, some second generation models and even the ol' AeroDads' were on the ramp for a fresh overcoat...

Thanks Chris!
Yea, it's my eclectic Braniff custom model shop... always looking for something a little off the beaten path to produce...

Very nice models Scott.
May I ask how much a custom model from you might cost? (Just curious) |

BA777...
Of course, that is impossible to quote without specifics... our customs are individually researched and designed/replicated, pantoned calibrated, enamel and lacquer airbrushed as needed and then printed with a unique dry pigment process (including metallics) that creates a crisp, smear-proof, permanent fade-resistant design image which is applied to the prepared model... Anyway a very, very basic livery on a readily available blank model (?!!) would likely start around 40-50 and go up from there, but they usually average around 75. "Ultra" detailed custom models (metallic frames, 3D windows, gear/engine detailing, personalized, etc) can approach $200 depending upon your specifications. You are billed for each additional level of complexity and detail involved in producing the model... I'm sure Chris and the othercraftsmen here charge in a similar manner...anyway, you kinda get the idea, hope this helps...

They were originally scheduled to be a PSA and Alaska... but my bones are telling me we might be seeing those commercially before too long...??? But Chicken has got me hot on a semi-fantasy McDD-proposed MD-80 for Braniff in ultra blue colors!!!
