1/200 Pan Am Billboard B747-200
Hi Guys,
Well i finished this custom for a fellow DACer yesterday. Clipper Water Witch N728PA 747-200 (IF200 converted to a -200 series)
This is a version 2 of my Pam Am Billboard 747s as i now use a new decal system (laser and ALPS and new decal paper).
NOTE the actual IF200 release of this bird is incorrect with their use of silver and greys for the door outlining... as most know it is actually a blue outlining.
The colours are more vibrant and the decal paper is way easier to work with than the older decal paper i use to use.
Anyway enjoy the photos shes off to the ol USA!

(I'm the fellow DAC'er). She looks great Al!!!
Really looking forward to her arrival, "Clipper Water Witch" will be proudly displayed next to "Clipper Young America" as sort of early & late 747 pair.
Now fingers (and toes) crossed she makes her way safely across the ocean.

I agree.
I'd like to see IF do another "Billboard" 747, with the yellow ribbon on the fuselage immediately behind the cockpit, which Pan Am put on their planes transporting troops home from Gulf War I. I think that would be a hit.
And also a 747SP "Billboard" and a 747 in the "mid period" Pan Am livery, with the bold Pan Am letters and the classic blue cheat line.
I've also got an IF 747F "Clipper Fortune" enroute, so I will have the trio, plus the GJ 747SP.
IF really, really did a lovely job on their 747 models.
I was just looking around on the net, and the prices of IF200 Pan Am 747s continue to climb. Hopefully they see that, and release some new ones. I know I would snap them up!

Re: 1/200 Pan Am Billboard B747-200
She made it safe and sound! I feared the worst when I initially saw the box, the corner was badly crushed. But the model was fine, and Al was smart to leave the front gear unattached for safety.
She's now safe in the cabinet with her sisters.
If I ever get around to buying a better camera, I will post a family portrait.
Thanks Al!
