With all the squawking and screaming about the various fantasy model offerings, perhaps if Gemini, Dragon and Aero Classics did some of the more unusual concept planes, everyone would be happy. Let's start with the Boeing 2707 in the colors of the various carriers who expressed interest. Then we can add the Republic Rainbow, the Lockheed Constitution and maybe the Convair XC-99. I'd buy these in a second.........

I know that alot of airlines showed interest when the Concorde first came out, like Air Canada and Pan Am etc etc.

For sure on the Concordes as well. I'd buy a BOAC in a second. After all, my Corgi BOAC has busted paws that fall off every time I pick it up. And I did see a larger scale metal TWA Concorde display model bring big bucks on eBay just afew weeks ago.

OK! Somebody make me a model of the Reindeer from the movie "No Highway In The Sky." This thing had bi-plane stabilizers - like a Beech 1900 - a bubble canopy, a needle nose and four prop-jet motors. I know they had a model in the movie. Now if I could only track it down ...

Let's see, if I have the choice of seeing another batch of Swissair, Air Canada and Korean released OR a 2707 and Concorde in ANY fantasy colors, I'd take the fantasies.
I'm not here to build an extravagant scale airport where all the models have legitimate reg's, nor do I get off on telling visitors that "this is an accurately reproduced 1/400 scale model of an authentic full-sized flying aircraft in operation with XXX Airlines." I just collect kick-a s s lookin' models, and if there happens to be a Pan Am 2707 released I'd sure as hell pick that over another AA/UA/BA/DL.........................
Besides, I'm more of a fan of the airframes themselves than the Airliners flying 'em. And why should we ignore these projects from the past, they're still a part of aviation history.
Now then, do I see a 9-pack of Jellybean 2707's on the horizon?
