Who cares, why not just show us what you have? Maybe it would be a whole lot more productive, not to mention, you could get some pretty good advice to make it even better (we don't like "planners" and "model airport reporters" who don't offer any pictures very much around these parts.)

Re: CVI Terminal Completed
AmeriaWest77, hello and welcome to the fun and exciting world of model airport building. Please read these following tips, they will help you along your way here at DAC and keep you from ruffling the feathers of some of our older, veteran members:
1-Do not start threads on "plans". Nobody here really wants to read about plans, we especially don't want to read a title like "CVI Terminal Completed" just to open it and see nothing but typed words. Even if you're not completely done, or just starting out...add some progress pics...those are always fun!
2-Post count means nothing here. Instead of adding multiple posts in a row, edit your original and add your thought there. Helps keep the thread more streamlined and an easier read! A well thought out, clear, concise post always gets more respect than a bunch of one-liners in a row.
3-When commenting on other threads, also refrain from one-liners. Make it a good read! Do: "wow, that looks great! I really like how you've perfectly copied the real terminal..alot of detail there! Thanks for sharing!" Don't: "Looks cool!"
4- This is the most important! No "text-style" typing! "You" instead of "U", I know this is all the rage with you young kids, but we would really appreciate normal spelling and grammar.
BTW, for being a young guy, your spelling, grammar, and punctuation are top notch! We all thank you for that!
Once again, welcome aboard and if you need any help in construction of CVI, don't hesitate to ask some of our veteran members, they will be more than willing to help you out on your way to creating your very own model airport!
Sincerely, (biting his tongue HARD) Dylan

Welcome AmericaWest77,

Maybe you're a bit slow, but in a way, everyone here (except airbro, since he believes all the planners) is telling you that you're full of yourself. In other words, we think that your model airport is the same as the roots to the equation (x^2)+2x+1=0, in other words, imaginary.

No... I actually developed an airport terminal template that can be pasted down to card-stock, cut out and taped together.

Well, I would believe you, since you did do some awesome stuff before (like those awesome B-2707s ), but this kid here is one of the many who come on here just to post their plans of airports that will never be built. Anyone who has been here long enough can tell right off the get-go that he is full of crap about his airport, I mean, the part that makes it obvious is that his sister conveniently "crushed" his terminal when he was asked for photos.
Also the obscene size is also another warning sign. I'm sorry, but no mother in modern America will allow their kid to have a hobby like that as long as the home-Nazis on HGTV and TLC are telling women (and certain men) how a house should look like. A large model airport with sixty some gates is definitely a HUGE no-no in Kenneth W. Lowe's Kamph der Meine Hause (sorry to our German members for slaughtering the German Language).

Yup...hear you. A picture is worth a thousand words. Anyone who would like my little mock up terminal let me know and I'll post it. It's a bit nineties, but it has helped me get an idea of dimensions. Its NOT perfect, so I'm not making guarantees that it will be a Taj Mahal.

Ya know, airports that has real pics and effort has like only 4 replies, while non-existient airports with no pics get tons of replies. Is it just me
(Oh, and to prove my point, here's a thread from w900; My First Custom Project - Wings900 Discussion Forums)

Yea, considering this, I'm pretty sure it was meant as a 1:400/500 terimal. Heck, unless ya got planes sitting atop of each other and stacked jetways ( ) ya won't have such a big airport (o shold me say airprot? ) Lemme tell ya this, I have seen the Herpa 1:1000 terimal with only 11 gates, and it was still pretty big. Crushed by your sister? Yea right. Ask me(or LOT and FedEx777) about my own expriences on w900, and lemme tell ya, it wasn't pretty.
I cannot be more foreright. Please consider before ya post.

Re: CVI Terminal Completed
I think once you have posted pictures of an actual airport you have built then you can post plans for future ones, but until then it's way better to show construction photos just to appease the gods. Just some friendly advice.

Re: CVI Terminal Completed
I was serious about the 1:400 terminal. It was done a few years ago is very basic and NOT perfect,(The terminal towers, when cut from the flat sheet leave a place to be filled. Maybe a few small boxes for AC?), but anyone who wants it....even to use a template, PM me. I can send you a jpg, tiff, acrobat, etc.

Hmm. That is NICE! I can't color a custom livery properly! Can I have a buildable cardboard version in 1:400?
