1:200 gse.....
Hi All
I now have my base board to start work on my Manchester, UK, Runway Diorama...
The reason i am going for a taxiway/runway diorama is due to the distinct lack off 1:200 GSE that would make a terminal set up come to life... Obviously there are the rare Herpa sets but these are ridiculously priced and would break the bank to get a good number of them!!!
So does anyone reckon there will be some 1:200 GSE released from any manufacturer coming up?? Maybe from Gemini or someone?? If so i may re-assess my diorama build.
If not im going to continue with my Runway option....
Cheers......

Re: 1:200 gse.....
I'd like to (the wishlist is long), but that stuff is so expensive to make, that it remains a pricy collector's item.
The solution is to find someone with a less expensive production method and a fundamental know-how.

Gemini says on their website that we can expect more 1:200 accessories. Still waiting and hoping!

Re: 1:200 gse.....
I might try, I can make a mould using wax and one of the herpa gse stairways my ideas is:
Put the gse in a block of wax
Cut around the edges
Remove top half
Take out herpa gse
Stick top part back on with hot wax
Drill a hole until I reach the cavity
Pour in melted plastic
Wait to dry
Sell for £8 a set
Does this sound good?
Regards
Kris

Re: 1:200 gse.....
Plastic generally melts at a higher temperature than wax, so the plastic would melt the mould.

Re: 1:200 gse.....
Sounds illegal to me, copying a product that Herpa are still producing?
I have 2 different types of Airport tractor here that are awaiting painting, I will try and get some shots of them soon, they are in 1:200 and should be available pretty soon, will update with more info when I get it.

If you're intending to sell these for £8, you should know that they're still readily available for around 7 euros/12 USD, which approximates to £5 and £7 respectively - and they're already painted...

Yep, can't see any problem with selling bootleg merchandise. Nope, no problem at all.
