I have attended the Airliners Intl conventions since 1986..This was by far one of the best shows in over 20 yrs. The Delta Airlines Heritage museum was a perfect venue and is a must see for anyone who is an airliner enthusiast. There are so many exhibits including a 767, 757, DC-9, and most of the original prototype L-1011..here is a link to their homepage:

Our host hotel was the Atlanta Airport Renaissance and is the best airport spotting hotel in the world..Each room has an outdoor private balcony overlooking the North Apron and the entire airport..You are only feet away from the action..You can not get any closer to live aircraft from a hotel room anywhere including my favourite Renaissance at LHR.. The action is nonstop from 6am with the arrival every morning of the DL 747 nonstop from Hawaii heavy on the reverse right outside your window to Delta 8 nonstop from Dubai a 777 roaring in reverse too..The MD-80's definately held the spot for noise violations on reverse very very loud just like the old days! The action never stopped til midnight with 3-4 movements simoultaneously at all times every 1-2 min

Show Notes:
The TWA 757 was a pacmin customized on gears

The large L-1011 was 50th scale???

Skys the Limit had 25 tables huge display

Gemini had the airport on display

Waffle was there and crazier then ever

You could board the 767 and L-1011 thats where the photo and model contest was held

The Caspian TU 154 and the 200 scale stuff under it was my stuff for sale..

You cant see it in the photos, but there were twice as many tables on the other side of the 767

Hi all,

Went on Friday and it was an excellent show. For the love of God, there was more than one vendor and met Crownvic at the show. Also had the owner of Gemini Jets signed one of the boxes. Went home with 11 models and my best prize was getting an Inflight 200 South African Airways 737 for 30 bucks. DP
