Hi Thunderbird 2, thank you for making the show 'officially' on! Look forward to the show and will check in on the 27th. Hilton Garden Inn YYZ looks like a brand new hotel! Cheers! T7

Re: Toronto Aviation & Airline Collectibles Show - Oct 28 - 2012
Just out of curiosity, what is the approximate attendance for the YYZ shows and how many vendor tables are there? I'm just wondering how big YYZ is compared to some of the other shows.

Who's running this show? I sent an e-mail several days ago regarding possibly attending as a vendor, and I have yet to hear anything.

Hmm...I guess the show organizer(s) don't care much about adding any more vendors. E-mail sent to two different addresses, and nada. Hope that doesn't say anything about how the actual show is run.

Re: Toronto Aviation & Airline Collectibles Show - Oct 28 - 2012
Thanks for the help! I actually needed to know this past weekend though if I could make the show, so I won't be able to make this one. As I understand it, these shows are in the spring AND the fall? If so, perhaps I can make the spring one. Thanks again, though!

Re: Toronto Aviation & Airline Collectibles Show - Oct 28 - 2012
This should be an interesting show with the new venue; I am so glad it's no longer at the old drab Holiday Inn (was a pain in the butt to haul the models up the stairs to get to the conference room). Hilton Garden Inn YYZ is only 3 years old and has a fine looking ballroom where the show is being held. I am sorry to hear that you can't make it to the show this sunday. Yes, there might be another one in the spring (Thunderbird 2 is the organizer). Cheers! T7 ( I'll try to take some pics from the show )

Gearing up for the show in 9 hours (already checked into the Hilton Garden Inn YYZ suite, may take pics of the suite stacked floor to ceiling with models and rubbermaid bins, hee hee). Please come by and check out all the models I have for sale. Have some Life-Savers treats while you view the commerical and military models, or while you browse thru some books and postcards. Cheers! T7 (by the way, look for the dude with the blue Boeing 777 t-shirt and white walking shorts!)

Re: Toronto Aviation & Airline Collectibles Show - Oct 28 - 2012
sorry, but changed my mind. not feeling the urge to come n see the show. so scanty info couldnt tempt me to take the *** out of the door (not knowing how many vendors/usual price (cheaper than retailers? saves the S&H?/ rare models? etc).

Mr. T7,
So sorry I couldn't make the show yesterday. I had to deal with a family issue on Saturday evening which carried over to Sunday morning. All is well now, though. (Ill wife).
Pity, as I was looking forward to meeting you, and hopefully Mr. Beltloader and perhaps 1:200 Freak. Hopefully there will be some sort of another event throughout the year where this can be achieved.
Anyhow, I hope you had a great time, and I suspect I missed a very good show.

Model airplanes really aren't that important. As long as your wife is OK.

You are correct. Compared to my wife, model airplanes don't even exist. Regardless, all is well now, just unfortunate timing all around, I'm afraid.
Thanx for that.

Hey, that esteemed collector was very happy when he purchased the 1:18 scale P40 WarHawk, made by Motorworks! It well fit in nicely with his 1:18 collection of WW2 warbirds. Cheers! T7

Correction: That model was a P47-D ThunderBolt Razorback, not the P40. My apologies, T7
