well, finally uploaded over 100 pics and 8 videoclips from the international air tattoo at R.A.F FAIRFORD yesterday. my FIRST airshow!! went with ben, istari, and tony, blinder22, from ireland. great to finally meet those two!!! thankfully we had a DRY day, after the deluge on the 2 day before. i have created a photobucket file so you can see all the pics and videos. if you need a password, its FAIRFORD in caps. highlights for me was the visit to the vc10, and awacs!! so below are a few of my favourite pics, the rest you can see on pb!!! first 3 pics are of the vc 10.

yeah sad!! there are just 11 left!! as of 31st march next year 5 will be scrapped, and the other 6 will be sent to museums etc. sadly they are just too unecomical to run anymore. i think they said they burn 10 tons of fuel per hour!! more than a 747! so it was great to finally see inside one, and the awacs, hercules and c5 galaxy!! the only bummer was the vulcan did NOT fly yesterday. but it did on saturday. ben was particularly pissed!!!

Sadly, both the VC10's that I flew on have been scrapped. XV107 and XR806. I met a VC10 flight engineer a couple of weeks ago, hopefully going to get a visit to the squadron in August.

Robert was talking to a pilot of the VC-10 on sunday he said some are been scrapped next year and then the left overs are been scrapped in sent to museums year after, i think thats what was said robert will confirm that !
