The things we have to do to sneak models past our better halves! I'm still trying to think up an excuse as to why I've accumulated a bedroom full of more models in the last year Plan that extension well, gotta leave plenty of room for expanding the collection Living in an apartment, that's not an option for me, so I guess a move is in order, oh dear....
I think these CDC are the first diecast models I've seen that do pass muster as an alternative to plastic kits at a realistic price. I've seen models in Japan (don't know the make, sorry) of mainly Japanese types that were just stunning, no seams, working shock absorbers on the gear and stuff, but they were VERY expensive. Certainly since starting buying these I can't see the point of building a 1/48 kit. Some of Corgi's better 1/72 models are also this good, like the Lancaster, F4U, Zero, Mosquito FB VI etc.
Take care!
