Ralph Hello!
Mine are made in England but the wheels and tires(if I remember correctly) were tin plate also.
I think the name of mine are Heco or something like that.
Mine were stamped with the name on the bottom of the fuselage so I'll check that at home tonight.
If anyone knows where these are available , I'm interested!
I have two, one a SPAD and the other an Albatross.
I was planting to get a bunch of them, specially DrIs and AlbatrossV but it was not meant to be.
I'll try to post some pics soon, would love to see pics of yours!
I was looking at some 1/48 WWI diecast that I got about two years ao in ebay and they are just TOO small. i like 1/32 for these models as they go well with my toy soldiers. Frontlines(Nice toy soldiers made in china) used to make a set(they might still do) of personality flyers of WWII that are a nice complement to the models.
I have seen pictures of some beauties in wood by King and Country (Also of Hong Kong)but SUPER expensive and huge, they must be 1/24.
If I can find an appropiate base for pictures i'll post them quickly.
Take care,
Eduardo
