While it is true that no A-380 customers are US airlines, it is also true that many of the routes the A380 was going to flown on are to the US. Also while Boeing may be hit hard by the future predictions, Airbus too might take a similar beating in orders since many of the customers for their narrow bodied planes are US Airlines such as Northwest, United, US Airways, America West, Jet Blue, etc.
