Ted, I do have an airbrush. I use it for the small things like engines, wings, etc. I use cans to usually paint the fusalage as it is a big piece and requires a lot of paint (like white) most of the time.

Gargle, trust me, for your first time spraying a model (if it is), you will use a lot of paint from the spray can. It's really worth it.
I wouldnt use that Tremclad on a plastic model, probably not designed for that purpose. Always use the cans designated for scale modelling, like Tamiya or, as you have, Testors. A tip, Testors Light Gull grey from the can is a good color for wings and tail fins.
