Acrylic and Enamel. I like Tamiya and Gunze acrylic paints to brush on. You can get very nice results if you just take your time and do even strokes. Try to always paint in a forward motion, never painting over a wet spot on the model.
Humbrol Enamel paints are great. I personally would suggest Enemal brush-on for just high gloss colors, like red or blue, etc.
