I wonder why they trashed a fully functional, airworthy 720B instead of selling it or taking it to the desert. Looks like the only things they salvaged were the engines. I'm with you on the living in an old airplane thing. I saw some pictures of a family living in an old DC-9 once, said it was better than a trailer since it was insulated to withstand the cold at 40,000 feet, and very tightly constructed. Best yet, they paid like $10,000 for the fuselage and another $4000 for the flatbed to transport it. Conversion cost them another $15,000, so they basically had a really nice cozy little home for less than $30,000. And a cool looking one, too.
