The SM El Al 772 I just got also has the gear slots for the landing gears but no gears. What I plan on doing is taking a set of SM gears I removed from another model and pulling the wheels and replacing them with the HG wheels and attaching that to the model. If you add the complete HG gear assembly you might have to do a but of modification to the nose gear slot as its much larger than slot on the HG 777's. The nose gear will fit, but there will be a bit of a gap due to the larger gear slot on the SM model.
