Although I have yet to begin contruction of my own airport due to limited space, I have done quite a bit of research. I have found that the FAA site has great documentation for the layout, design, and markings for the runways and some tarmac areas.
The documents are illustrated with the proper layout of signage, runway numbering, etc.
