Default Herpa Swissair Dc-8 Gear Mod

Initially I was unsure about the Herpa '8. It looked clumpy and didn't sit right (i.e. wasn't nose down). In fact there was fresh air between the tyres and the tarmac ! It wasn't tail heavy - I gave it all the tests and won't sit tail down.

Sooooo.......off with the main gears and re-glue in a slightly bent forward position ( don't bend the metal you'll likely snap the gears). Put more glue at the back than front. I used evo-stick, which allegedly was favoured by Western Models.

She now sits nose down and looks much, much better.

May think about taking 2mm of the length of the nose wheel strut.....any thoughts about that ?
