Tony - we do have smog cert in WA but not where I live (unincorportated Pierce county). This car really doesnt NEED anything illegal done to it unless the owner just wants to race only.
Borla seems to be quite popular as an aftermarket exhaust system - it can be built with capped y-pipe which would be uncapped when racing 1/4 mile or whatever to bypass the cats. Flowmaster is a little overrated - good but overrated.
The best mod for this car would be lowering it 1.5 inches, putting in Bilstein or other hi-perf shock and getting rid of the crappy Eagle F1s and replacing with Bridgestone Potenzas. This would bring it much closer in line with the Vette for handling and all for about 15-20K less than the Vette.
