You're ignorance of science leads you to make statements like this. I am a graduate degree scientist (in chemistry and meteorology) by training, so don't lecture me about evidence and such. Your head-in-the-sand attitude is preposterous and dangerous for this world. Yes, climate change occurs naturally, but to think we have essentially no impact on what is going on in the planet's atmosphere is truly naive. To blame it all on people like Al Gore is also naive. We live in a world that is threatened by out of control population growth, lack of sufficient water and natural resources, excessive and rapid climate change, and now a growing lack of food to feed the planet. These are all symptoms of planetary growth without any regards to the consequences. Scientists who pay attention and look at the facts have warned about these things for years. One of my meteorology professors was worrying about global climate change years before Al Gore had even emerged on the public scene. Big oil and other corporate giants have done their best to convince the masses "it just ain't so". The high prices for fossil fuels are due to greed and speculation. There is PLENTY of oil available. In fact, there is good evidence to suggest the U.S. went into Iraq to STOP the flow of oil and artificially create a "shortage". We went through this "shortage" crap decades ago when oil prices went through the roof. It was all a game, as it is now. Yes, demand is up, but supply is sufficient. Supply and demand DON'T factor into the equation anymore. Anyone who says otherwise is blind (or works for big oil). Even with sufficient supplies of oil, we need to change how we generate energy. Fossil fuels are a dead end - or do you disagree with that too???

Perhaps we should all stand by while this occurs and do nothing. You go right ahead and watch and blame it all on the tree-huggers and Al Gore. OR, YOU could look at the scientific facts and trends and open your mind to the reality of what is going on.

By the way, read this if you doubt about the availability of oil and gas...

There Is No Gas Shortage
