Default Re: Which is the best way from Heathrow to ARD

I have only been there once and I got the underground to Hillingdon and then walked.

Okay, if you take the underground from Heathrow to Acton Town, you can get a train to Uxbridge. Hillingdon is the stop just before Uxbridge.
All of this is on the Piccadilly line.

Please bear in mind that, depending on the time of day when travelling, the frequency of these services may be lower than normal (as I found out at Acton town, so you may need to be a little patient).

You can also get the Metropolitan line to Hillingdon, but that would involve having to go into London and then back out again.

It is cheaper to take the Piccadilly line as you will only travel between zones 6 and 3, whereas with the Metropolitan line, you would be going between zones 6 and 1.

You should be able to get some '61 and '73 stock haulage in anyway regardless of the line

Annnyway, once at Hillingdon Station, turn right, walking away from the motorway. Walk straight down the road, past the shops and houses until you get to King's Sutton Road on your left. Walk along this and it will be on your right.

Walking time was about 15 minutes to the shop from the station.

Hope this helps.
