My airport's still in the conceptual phase, so I haven't decided how many airlines to include yet. At first I wanted to make it a specific airport in the late 1960s/early 1970s, since my collection is focused on that era. I decided it's too limiting, though -- too many models I really like would be stuck on the shelf. I think it will just be a generic airport, and I won't worry too much about aircraft anachronisms.
Since I'm not as handy as some of you guys, I've picked up the eztoyz mat and the Herpa Airport set, but I want to personalize it. I've got my own main terminal partly built (adapting Erick's CD-case concept) to go with the Herpa concourses. Construction has been suspended, however, until myself and my airport complete our planned relocation to Germany in two weeks!
