Also, what's the life-span of these paper models? so much work is put on them, and when you said you used adhesive paper, I tought about the deterioration of the glue. It would be a shame if they started comming apart a few years after you finish them.
Edges between station is the original sin in card models. You can get a little curve close to the edge but not a complete curve all part long. Another thing is separate parts like nose in the Caravelle. I will explain how to get a perfect nose when arrived at that stage.
Anyway, these card models have to be seen completes, wait a little until the model be a little advanced and you will see... then the edges has no importance compared with the impresive effect of the huge model.

There are not differences in edges or curving method between Caravelle and other predecessors, but dont see now the first stencils in the pics, i have marked the edges because now they are useful and the little nose of the caravelle will be perfect. Look at the turbine bushing, they are paper not plastic and have been done with same method.

No problems with the materials, i use the adhesive only for bare metal parts and is used like metal foil in plastic kits. This material is very glossy and resistent and do not yellow, in fact is real metal. Humidity does not affect to this kind of card. My first models are more than ten years old and are like the first day. In fact, i have changed rubber tyres because of fosilization and on the other hand card is still white and new.
Card is a noble material and i can say for sure that has longer life that plastic.
The only thing is that you can not deep it in water.
