Praise be to the 300gal wing tanks which kept it from cartwheeling.
Normally they used to fly these with the supers on the wing stations and the 300gal was on the centreline.
Twould have been messy with that config.
The worst part is that I believe that the wheels-up landing configuration for this aircraft was not as a result of a problem with the aircraft. I suspect that the pilot would have found out what the problem was when he needed to select full afterburner just to taxi...oh, and the ants on the ground would have appeared to be slightly bigger.
