The most anyone can do is make the Sonic Cruiser fantasy as believable as possible by using details, science, technology and design borrowed from the real world wherever possible. There is much more reality evident here than any Star Wars or Star Trek design, yet such fantasy creations are well respected by many, including model collectors worldwide. In fact, some of the highest prices ever paid for a model included the studio model of Enterprise D from Star Trek for $576,000 in October 2006 at a Christies Auction. While the Sonic Cruiser fantasy may not be desired by many DAC collectors, or not ever seen in a famous movie or television series, there should be some interest in such a model if it is well done. Additionally, the Sonic Cruiser is still based on a serious real design project by Boeing that was cancelled in December 2002.
