The first scheme that was painted on SAA's 737 was introduced in 1968 - the same year the first 737-244 was taken up. That's why I call it "1968 scheme".

Here's ZS-SBL pre-delivery:

Note that there was a variation of this scheme (not only on the 737). Somewhen around 1970, "1968" schemed aircraft appeared with door outlines repainted in grey (see SBL above how they were painted earlier on)
