Very simple :
currently only UA and NWA have 747s in their fleet but these aircrafts won't be replaced by either 747-8i or A380 because they don't need it, that's too large for their requirements. And all US airlines prefer more frequencies and medium sized aircrafts than very large aircrafts and less frequencies, even in the pacific network.
But we'll never know if BA, AF, QF, EK, VS ... are plenty happy with them they can change of mind, moreover it will be a flagship for these ailines.
