What I am planning on doing is try to re-create McDonnell Douglas' factory in Long Beach this summer. Not the whole thing, just the hangar with the iconic "Fly DC Jets" that sat on top of the hangar. I have a lot of DC-10's, DC-9's and some others like MD-80's that I can add on and make a nice recreation of that airfield. I will do others later on but now I am trying to get some more DC-9's that I like and add them to my collection.

It depends on what you want to do. I really collect by aircraft type and airline that I know, remember, seen, or heard of and that is what I do. It also depends on taste too.
