Re: Fleet Building
Great advise from the 2 previous individuals. This is just my opinion. It's really a personal choice. THe fact that a direction to head in is a "must -do" not only for this hobby, but for everything, and I compliment you on wanting to have this, and to ask for suggestions to help you decide. The path that you take could be: 1 airline, 1 type of aircraft, jet or prop, what you have flown on, what lands at your airport, Boeing, Airbus, US vs Foreign airlines, actual vs fantasy models, any combination of these. As you can see, from just a few criteria that I use, the choices are endless. The fun part is researching the particular aircraft you're after, finding it in scale-model, and then, if you're lucky, finding someone who not only has it, but at the $ you're lookin for ! To me this is the most exciting, and rewarding, part of the hobby. The best part, again just my thoughts here, is you will meet a lot of great people during your "collecting career". I hope that this tidbit of info is of value to. I welcome other members to expand on these thoughts for you, because if I do, you will more than likely want to, and should, see what others have to say. Have a great time collecting.
