However, you can look all around here, at other forums, and at the actual offices of distributors and retailers and see that we do poke fun at the absurdity of a SMALL group of collectors whose main reason for living is to pick apart our precious toys. So, if the shoe fits then by all means wear it, otherwise don't take offense where offense was clearly not intended.

Ok.
Collectors Leave For Many Reasons. Most I Presume Is Becauase Of The Impression They Are Being Ridiculed Regardless If That Ridicule Is Aimed At A Few, Or The Collectorate As A Whole.
Who You Aim At Is Irrelevant. We All Get Splattered.
Someone Is Not Doing Their Homework.
We Have Two Very Large Retail Stores. I Meet , Discuss & Observe Hundreds Of Collectors. I Can Spend A Half Day Or More At Av World For Instance.
It Struck Me How A Collector (A Lot Of Them Actually) Can Open Up A Few Boxes, Immediately Put Most Of Them Back, But Then One Of Them They'll Inspect Up To 2 Hours. The Expression On Their Face Says It All.
This Is Not An Isolated Case, It Happens Quite Often. I've Even Seen A Young Mom & Her 2 Very Young Sons Sift For About An Hour Through The Models.
To Think Only A Few Pick Apart Models Is Naive. Oh Most Of Those Collectors Don't Participate On The Forums Either. Probably A Good Thing Too, As Once They Get A Taste Of These Forums They May Very Well Quit Too.
My Experience With These People Is Proof Positive There Are More Than Just A Few Discriminating Byers.
The Numbers Say It All Too.
If 2,000 Collectors Participate, But We Only Represent 20% Of The Collectorate, Then That Means There Are At Least 10,000 Collectors.
Then How Come It's Difficult For Gemini To Sell Out 2,000, 1,500 Or Even 500 (Select) Pieces?
Surely If The Majority Didn't Pick Apart The Models, Gemini Would Have An Empty Warehouse, No?
