I'm not sure, apart form maybe one or two routes to Asia, it appears that the A380 is just too big for most of the markets that the US airlines fly to. Plus, most of these guys are slowly getting more A32X/737-800 to phase out their older equipment and can't be bothered to replace the widebodies who fly on most of the long distance routes. Apart from that, the 747 proved to most airlines in the 1970s that just because a plane is big dosn't make it great. Thats why we don't have any 747s in DL or at AA (who had them in the early 70s, but were not really huge fans since it didn't fit their fleets well.)

They don't have any money to go spending on these Tanks.
Most are In/Have/Will be in chapter 11, so these might not be that high on the list.
We might see Northwest or United order some, as they have a 747 fleet to replace, But the A380 and 747 arn't the comparable.
Baiscally I dunno.

I think we might see the replacement come in the form of the 747-8 or Boeing 777, but we'll see how things play out in the next few years, the 747s are not THAT old yet.
